Overview

Under the direction of an accounting manager, the staff accountant will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks for the A/R and A/P departments. The accountant selected for this role should be a positive team player with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and processes weekly & daily supplier invoices for relocation services. This may include household goods (HHGs), rental, appraisal, and self haul move expenses. Performs quality control activities to ensure accuracy, reporting integrity, and adherence with contractual requirements.
  • Conducts data management and enters 3rd party invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
  • Responsible for daily recording of Cash transactions utilizing Accounting software and Company ERP systems.
  • Processes weekly check run and VMC payments reconciling to submitted approvals maintaining high degree of accuracy.
  • Month End close responsibilities including employee expense processing and revenue and expense accruals.
  • Prepares multiple reports to management including spend and expense to budget analysis
  • Possesses high degree of professionalism, reliability and integrity.
  • Assists relocation, expense management, and client relations teams (Denver, Bentonville, Sterling and Canada) with the implementation and continuous improvement of A/P, A/R and reporting services.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2-4 years experience in Accounting role
  • Experience with general ledger (G/L) accounting
  • 2 years using Great Plains Accounting software
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Excel
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities
