Overview

The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Supervisor manages invoicing, driver payments, commissions, 3rd Party invoice payments and month-end reconciliations for Commercial Moving, Archives and Warehousing services to ensure all revenue and direct expenses are captured in the correct period. Responsible for relocation and project calculations and will assist various team members with special projects as needed. Reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Invoicing, sales commission, and job cost entry; collections, and month-end close and reporting, including WIP accrual compilation
  • Sales commission and job cost entry (A/P & Payroll)
  • Maintains and shares complete knowledge of applicable contract rates for government and commercial business clients (including GSA Industrial Funding Fee (IFF))
  • Supports inquiry and analysis efforts of the team
  • Provides analysis and reporting for month-end figures, relocation, and project calculations on a regular basis for roll-up to enterprise financials and discussion with leadership as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of, and trains others on the use of web-based customer portals
  • Review customers for credit terms, process credit card transactions and approve refund requests
  • Complete vendor applications and lien releases
  • Responsible for the hiring, performance management and ongoing development of team members, from an operational and career perspective; providing guidance, addressing performance issues and coaching, enforcing company policies, approving time sheets and vacation requests, and delivering regular team meetings to ensure open, free-flowing communication and knowledge sharing
  • Supports audits or multiple special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in job-costing, A/R, and A/P, preferably Commercial, Government
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Excel, Windows, Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrated exceptional quantitative reasoning and analysis skills
  • Microsoft Dynamic CRM and Great Plains experience is preferred
  • Industry Experience is a plus
